Walk/Scoot/Cycle to School!

What a great day we had last Thursday when we all walked, scooted or cycled to school.  We were reward with a delicious, hot chocolate.  YUM!

"I felt very happy because we got hot chocolate. It was yummy!" said Ollie

"I felt happy drinking my hot chocolate" said Douglas

"I loved walking to school" said Richard

Writing with Room 1!
Yesterday we did our writing with Room 1.  The day before we taught them how to make snowflakes so we thought it would be a great idea to write about what we did.  Here we are working together to write a recount about what we did.  Next week you will be able to read our recounts on the walls of Room 1, Room 6 and in Mrs Cavanagh's office.

Snowflake fun with Roo1

Today Room 1 and Room 6 made some snowflakes together.  First we found a partner.  Next Room 6 taught Room 1 how to fold the paper in half and then in half again.  After that we folded it into a pizza shape and then we cut the top off so that it looked like a cone.  Then we cut shapes into the paper.  Finally we unfolded it and it looked like a beautiful snowflake.  "I liked making the snowflake because it was cool to make" said Jacob.  "I enjoyed making the snowflake because I was working with my friend Amelia" said Tamsin.  "I loved making the snowflake because I got to work with my brother" said Zeke.  "I felt excited because they sometimes rip in half but it didn't" said Richard.

Ry Room 6 and Room 1.

These are some of the instructions that Room 6 wrote, Room 1 thinks we are very clever!
